Norene C. Rawlings is first and foremost a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. When her husband of almost 60 years passed, she sought new and exciting ways to fill the void his loss created.
She is not new to the world of writing, so thoughts that had been in her mind for years prompted her to continue putting them on paper. This is not the first novel she has written, but it is her first venture at publication. There is something magical about creating a character and then being lead on romantic, sometimes sad, tragic, or funny but always endearing adventures and along the way creating characters that become dear friends.
When she is not writing, her life is full of cheering on her talented children and grandchildren’s theatrical, musical and sporting events, as well as anything that brings family together. She enjoys reading, crocheting, knitting, and there are occasionally opportunities to entice her children into helping her fulfill a “little” home renovation project. In college, she majored in music and taught piano for thirty years.
She has lived in Utah, Washington State, California, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado. Along the way, she has met a variety of lovely people and had experiences, some of which will never leave her heart. The main lesson she has learned is that home is wherever the family is.
