I am new to this so please be patient as I learn.

I have just released my first book, Rain, and I couldn't be happier.  It is a story that has been in my heart for almost fifty years, inspired by the 1976 Big Thompson River flood in Colorado—a flood caused by a rain cloud that became stuck near Estes Park, Colorado and took the lives of 144 people, hurt many others, and destroyed homes and businesses within just a few hours.

We lived in the area—Loveland, Colorado, at the mouth of the Big Thompson Canyon—so we witnessed second hand the results of such devastation. It was something that stays with one.

Except for the facts of the flood itself, Rain is a work of fiction.  It was so fun to write this story and develop the characters, but I will save that story for another post.
